De Fine
A contemporary artist from Cirò whose work transforms the landscapes, memories and traditions of Calabria into vivid colour and expressive form.
“You will find me in the yellow of an ear of wheat and in the red of fire; in the colour of wind and rain, and in the purity of snow.”
— Giuseppe De Fine
The artist
Colour, memory and the soul of Calabria
Described as a contemporary impressionist, Giuseppe De Fine is known for paintings rooted in the Calabrian landscape and in everyday life: hills, vineyards, the sea, historic villages, rural traditions and moments of quiet human presence.
His work combines realism and impressionistic freedom, using vivid colour, energetic brushwork and textured surfaces to evoke nostalgia, resilience and a profound respect for his native land.
